Overview

Manicule is a distraction-free Markdown editor for focused writing. It edits Markdown visually, with no preview pane and no compile step, while the plain .md file stays the single source of truth. Untouched bytes are never rewritten.

Stack

CodeMirror 6 with the Lezer Markdown parser powers the editor core. React 19, TypeScript, and Zustand run the app UI, and Tauri v2 with Rust handles atomic file writes and the desktop shell.
